Many real estate agents spend hours tweaking themes that look great in the demo but fall apart once actual listings go in. Galleries load slowly, property filters don’t work the way they should, and IDX support is often missing.
Overall, when the theme doesn’t deliver, it affects how people see your brand and how easily they can explore your property listings.
That’s why choosing the right real estate WordPress theme matters so much. At WPBeginner, we’ve tested a lot of real estate themes, so we know which ones consistently perform well – fast, flexible, and packed with the features agents actually use.
In this guide, I’ll share the best real estate WordPress themes you can use to build a professional, high-converting property website. 🏠

Why Does Your Theme Matter for a Real Estate Website?
A real estate website has different needs compared to a regular business site. You’re doing more than sharing details – you’re highlighting properties, guiding buyers through their search, and capturing leads along the way.
So your website isn’t just a virtual office but a digital handshake greeting your potential clients. That’s why it’s so important that your site looks good and engages visitors right away.

Now, a good real estate WordPress theme gives you the right tools to do all of that without struggling with custom code or expensive add-ons.
With the right theme, you can:
- Display listings in a clean, professional layout.
- Add advanced search and filters so buyers can find homes easily.
- Showcase property photos, videos, and virtual tours.
- Connect with IDX (Internet Data Exchange)/MLS (Multiple Listing Service) if you need live listing updates.
- Highlight key details like location, price, and amenities.
- Keep your site fast, organized, and mobile-friendly.
Overall, the right theme saves you time, makes your site look more trustworthy, and helps turn visitors into clients.
How We Test and Review Real Estate WordPress Themes
When choosing themes for this showcase, our team installed each theme on test sites to explore its pros, cons, and features.
We’ve found that a good WordPress theme should offer a balance of these features:
- Easy Navigation – Help visitors move around your website pages and take action.
- Responsiveness – Make sure the theme is fully responsive so your website looks great on desktops, mobile phones, and tablets.
- Speed and Performance – Choosing the right theme can improve the overall performance, making your site fast and SEO-friendly.
- Call to Action Button – A simple call to action button should take users to your desired landing page, where you can add exclusive real estate listings and boost your deals.
- Page builder support – The theme should support page builders so you can create custom landing pages.
We considered several factors, including user requirements, technical skills, and budget, to select the best real estate WordPress themes. There’s a theme for every realtor and real estate agency.
Why Trust WPBeginner?
At WPBeginner, we’ve spent more than 16 years building and optimizing WordPress sites, including many real estate and property-listing websites.
Because of that experience, we know exactly what a good real estate theme should offer: clean listing layouts, IDX/MLS support, mobile-friendly design, and solid SEO.
Every theme in this list has been personally tested using real-world real estate needs. Besides real estate features, we also consider page speed, ease of use, and overall user experience.
We take our testing seriously so we can give you reliable recommendations. You can learn more about it in our editorial process.
Now, let’s take a look at some of the best real estate WordPress themes.
1. Sydney – Best for Custom Page Templates and Layout Control

Sydney is one of the most powerful and user-friendly WordPress themes on the market. You can use it to easily create a beautiful real estate website, or any other type of site.
For more information about the theme, see our detailed Sydney review.
My Experience
While testing Sydney for real estate, I started by importing one of its starter sites. There are 28+ designs available, and a few of them only need small tweaks to work for real estate – just add property photos, swap the text, and you’re halfway done.
The import process itself took only a moment, and from there I could quickly customize the key elements that matter to agents.
For example, I was able to update the footer to show services, a direct phone number, email address, and a clear call-to-action button like ‘Talk to an Agent’ or ‘Get a Free Valuation.’

It was easy to adjust the colors and fonts to match a specific brokerage brand.
I could also add sliders to highlight new or featured properties, and drop in ready-made sections for testimonials, agent bios, FAQs, and contact forms.
And I liked that I could use sidebars for practical widgets – recent listings, popular neighborhoods, or even a mortgage calculator.

The standout feature for me, though, was the template builder.
Instead of every page using the same layout, I could create different designs for different goals. For example, you can set up one layout for the main blog page, another for premium listings and neighborhood guides, and a more focused layout for a “Sell Your Home” page.
If you want to try it without risk, there’s a free version of Sydney available on WordPress.org. You can start with that, get a feel for it, and upgrade later if you decide you want more layout control and design options.
✅ What I like about Sydney:
- Beginner-friendly and easy to use
- Includes 28+ professionally designed starter sites you can import with one click
- Offers plenty of customization options and pre-built sections
- Lightweight and optimized for fast loading times
🤔 What I don’t like about Sydney:
- Some advanced widgets and features require Elementor
⭐ Why I recommend Sydney: Sydney offers a balance of design flexibility and ease of use. Whether you’re building a real estate site or another type of website, it’s simple to set up, fully customizable, and fast.

2. SeedProd – Best for Visual Freedom With a True Theme Builder

SeedProd is a popular WordPress theme and website builder. It’s not a typical theme, but a plugin for designing a custom real estate theme without writing any code.
I’ve used SeedProd on several live projects, and it’s been especially useful when I don’t want to be stuck in a fixed, pre-made layout. Instead of working inside a rigid real estate theme, you get a visual builder that feels more like a landing page tool.
We also use it across our partner brands’ sites, and it’s been a great experience. For details, see our complete SeedProd review.
My Experience
With SeedProd, you just need to pick a template and then drag in the sections you need.
During testing, the built-in templates and site kits saved me a lot of setup time. In under an hour, I could quickly build a homepage highlighting top listings and key services and create neighborhood pages with local details and photos.
I could also set up landing pages for buyers, sellers, and special offers like “Instant Valuation” or “List Your Home.”

Adding sections like property grids, big hero images, contact forms, testimonials, and maps was straightforward, too. Everything updates in real time in the visual builder.
So, it was easy to rethink the layout on the fly.
For example, if I decided that the featured property should sit above the testimonials, or I wanted a Book a Viewing section directly under the hero, I just dragged those blocks into place.

You can test it first with the free SeedProd version. The paid version unlocks the full theme builder and more templates, which is what you’d generally want for a serious real estate site.
It’s not as “ready out of the box” for real estate as Sydney, but if you care more about layout freedom than a real-estate-specific design, it’s a solid option.
✅ What I like about SeedProd:
- Flexible enough to create full real-estate business websites
- Visual drag-and-drop theme builder makes designing layouts easy
- Comes with fully functional, ready-made theme templates for quick setup
- Templates include all essential pages and layouts you can customize in minutes
- Helpful for creating a custom landing page or special offers
🤔 What I don’t like about SeedProd:
- Not a traditional WordPress theme, so it may feel different if you’re used to theme-based customization
⭐ Why I recommend SeedProd: If you want complete control over your real estate website’s design, SeedProd is one of the best options out there. It’s powerful, flexible, and easy to use — perfect for building a fully custom theme without touching code.
3. Divi – Best for Visual Design Power With a Real Estate Layout Pack

Divi is the ultimate multi-purpose WordPress theme. It comes with the Divi builder and hundreds of ready-made website layouts for different kinds of websites.
I installed Divi on a few test sites to see how it looked and used the Divi builder to set up real estate and other professional sites. It’s easy to set up without writing any code, which you can learn about in our Divi review.
My Experience
To see how Divi performs on realtor sites, I set up a test site dedicated to real estate.
I like that I could easily find a real estate layout pack, which gave me a ready-made structure for things like the main landing page, listings, about page, and contact page. Everything was already arranged, so I didn’t have to start from scratch.
In my tests, I found that it worked smoothly when I paired it with a real estate plugin for handling listing grids, single-property pages, and more advanced search options.

Working with the Divi Builder on the front end also felt straightforward.
I could click directly on any text to rewrite it, replace demo images with real property photos, and adjust colors and fonts to match the branding. Moving sections up and down the page was basic drag-and-drop, so it was easy to tweak the layout until it felt right.
✅ What I like about Divi:
- Comes with the powerful Divi Builder for drag-and-drop customization
- Offers a dedicated real estate layout pack with landing pages, listing templates, and custom widgets
- Works well with real estate plugins for features like geolocation, advanced search, and property listings
- Easy to customize colors, fonts, layouts, and templates using front-end editing
🤔 What I don’t like about Divi:
- Can feel heavy or overwhelming if you only need simple changes
- A learning curve due to the large number of features
- A premium-only WordPress theme
⭐ Why I recommend Divi: If you want a highly customizable theme with professional layouts ready to go, Divi is a great fit. The real estate layout pack makes setup easy, and the page builder gives you flexibility to design everything without code.
4. OceanWP – Best for Deep Customization

OceanWP is a popular free WordPress theme with tons of premium-like theme features and incredible flexibility.
There’s also a pro version of this theme. It gives you access to dozens of ready-made website demos that you can quickly install for your realtor site.
My Experience
I tested OceanWP for real estate, starting with the free version because I wanted to see how much I could realistically do without paying.
Right away, I had enough flexibility to set up different layouts for each page, customize the header and navigation menus for listings. I was happy to see the sidebar support so I could add things like featured posts, quick search, business hours information, and more.
The header and background settings also make it easy to use large hero images from your best properties without fighting the theme.
Additionally, you can create a gallery with a lightbox effect, which is a great feature to keep visitors engaged as they explore property photos in a clean, distraction-free view.

Where OceanWP really started to feel useful was when I paired it with Elementor and a real estate plugin. I could design the overall look with OceanWP, handle the page layouts with Elementor, and then drop in listings and search features from the real estate plugin.
✅ What I like about OceanWP:
- Free version offers a lot of customization right out of the box
- Works smoothly with page builders like Elementor Pro
- Compatible with popular real estate plugins
- Offers plenty of design options: custom widgets, multiple menus, layouts, headers, and backgrounds
🤔 What I don’t like about OceanWP:
- Some of the best templates and features require the pro version
- The number of options can feel overwhelming for beginners
⭐ Why I recommend OceanWP: OceanWP is a flexible choice if you want a theme that grows with you. The free version is powerful, but the pro upgrade unlocks even more design tools. It’s a solid option for real estate websites of any size.
5. Neve – Best for Fast Setup With Lightweight, Starter-Site Speed

Neve is a versatile WordPress theme built for speed and easy customization. With its collection of starter sites, including designs tailored for business and real estate, you can set up a modern layout with minimal effort.
Plus, it works perfectly with builders like Beaver Builder and Elementor Pro. This allows for quick adjustments to page layouts, image sections, spacing, and brand elements such as colors and typography.
My Experience
For this roundup, I imported Neve’s real estate starter template.
Within a few minutes, I had a homepage, key inner pages, and a clean layout ready to customize. The template itself is set up in a very practical way, with space for featured listings and a grid or list of multiple properties.

The hero section was especially handy for a short intro and a couple of clear calls to action, which you can link to listings and contact pages.
All in all, it felt like the basics of a real estate site were already thought through – I just had to plug in real content.
✅ What I like about Neve:
- Works well with popular page builders like Beaver Builder and Elementor Pro
- Offers starter sites, including a real estate demo with top listings, a directory section, and testimonials for quick setup
- Welcome messages with call-to-action button support to guide visitors
- Lightweight and fast, which helps with both user experience and SEO
🤔 What I don’t like about Neve:
- Some design features and starter sites require the premium version
- Customization options can feel basic compared to full theme builders
⭐ Why I recommend Neve: This theme is clean, fast, flexible, and very easy to set up — especially if you’re using a page builder. Plus, Neve‘s real estate starter sites offer a polished layout for highlighting listings and guiding visitors to the right pages.
6. Presence – Best for Polished Real Estate Layouts + IDX

Presence is an all-purpose WordPress theme made specifically for small business websites. It includes ready-made website designs, including one for a real estate agency website.
And all the website demos can be easily installed with a single click.
My Experience
When I tested Presence, what stood out right away was how polished the real estate templates looked.
After importing the demo, I had a homepage, property listings, agent profiles, and basic inner pages ready with minimal cleanup. So, most of the setup was just swapping the dummy content with real listings and photo galleries.
Presence also supports IDX, so if you need to pull listings directly from your MLS, it fits naturally into the theme instead of feeling bolted on.
✅ What I like about Presence:
- Designed for small business websites, including a ready-made real estate demo with listings templates, agent pages, a search form widget, and IDX support
- Helpful design tools like color schemes, sliders, photo galleries, and custom social media widgets
- SEO-friendly, which helps your site rank better on Google
🤔 What I don’t like about Presence:
- Design options feel more limited compared to modern multi-purpose builders
- Some features rely on the theme’s built-in widgets rather than drag-and-drop tools
⭐ Why I recommend Presence: For a simple, business-focused theme that includes a complete real estate setup right out of the box, Presence is a solid choice. It’s easy to install, easy to customize, and includes all the essentials realtors need – from listings to IDX support.
7. Astra – Best for Flexibility and Plugin Compatibility

Astra is a beautiful WordPress theme designed for any kind of website, including real estate businesses. This flexible theme comes with dozens of ready-made websites that can be installed with a single click.
For more insights into the theme, see our complete Astra review.
My Experience
I tested Astra for a real estate site by importing one of its business templates and reshaping it for property listings. Right away, its biggest advantage was how easily it worked with other tools and everything, from layouts to fonts, was simple to adjust.
I also appreciate that Astra played nicely with every plugin I added: an IDX plugin, a booking form, a mortgage calculator, a translation plugin, and Elementor.
Nothing broke, and I didn’t have to fix styling issues. For real estate sites that require multiple tools to work together, this compatibility is a major benefit.
✅ What I like about Astra:
- Dozens of ready-made starter sites, including real estate, can be imported with one click
- Translation-ready and works well with plugins like WPML
- Compatible with all major plugins, including booking systems and mortgage calculators
🤔 What I don’t like about Astra:
- Some of the best starter templates require the Pro version
- Customization can feel limited without pairing it with a page builder
⭐ Why I recommend Astra: Based on my findings, Astra is easy to customize, works with any real estate plugin, and gives you a fast, professional-looking site right from the start. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced user, it makes building a real estate site simple.
8. WP Real Estate – Best for Powerful Built-In Filtering

WP Real Estate is a high-quality WordPress real estate theme. It comes with a dozen ready-made real estate website templates designed for agents, realtors, and agencies.
What makes this theme stand out is the built-in real estate plugins: advanced filtering and an interactive property map.
My Experience
WP Real Estate’s strongest feature is its built-in real estate plugin, which comes with advanced filtering options. Visitors can narrow listings by price, bedrooms, bathrooms, location, and more – without needing extra add-ons or configuration.
The interactive map view also adds a helpful visual way to browse properties. It makes it easier for users to explore listings by neighborhood or proximity.
Now, because the theme and plugin are built to work together, the overall experience feels cohesive and stable.
✅ What I like about WP Real Estate:
- Includes a dozen ready-made real estate templates for fast setup
- Includes a property map, realtor profile pages, and multiple listing layouts
- Offers advanced property filters and search tools
🤔 What I don’t like about WP Real Estate:
- Less flexible than multipurpose themes if you want to build non–real estate pages
- Some features may feel overwhelming if you’re brand-new to WordPress
⭐ Why I recommend WP Real Estate: If you want a theme that’s built 100% for real estate, WP Real Estate delivers everything you need right out of the box. The companion plugin adds powerful search, map, and listing features, making it a great choice for agents and agencies who want a full-featured real estate site with minimal setup.
9. Estate Engine – Best for Marketplace Sites + Paid Front-End Listings

Estate Engine can convert any WordPress website into a real estate engine. You can monetize your real estate website by allowing users to add their own listings for a fee, paid through PayPal, Stripe, or another payment gateway.
My Experience
Estate Engine shines when you need more than a basic agency website – it’s built for creating a full property online marketplace.
During testing, adding properties was straightforward, but the real standout was the front-end submission system. It lets users upload their own listings without ever touching the WordPress dashboard.
You can also create paid listing packages and connect payment gateways like PayPal or Stripe to allow the theme to handle transactions.
Beyond the marketplace tools, Estate Engine includes a mobile-ready layout, built-in image galleries, and helpful search features.
✅ What I like about Estate Engine:
- Turns any WordPress site into a full real estate platform
- Lets you monetize by charging users to submit their own listings (supports PayPal, Stripe, and more)
- Includes advanced search filters for easy property browsing
- Built-in Google Maps support, galleries, sliders, and custom widgets
🤔 What I don’t like about Estate Engine:
- More focused on marketplace-style sites, which may be unnecessary for single agents
- Design feels a bit dated compared to newer modern themes
⭐ Why I recommend Estate Engine: This WordPress theme is a strong option if you want to build a real estate marketplace where users can submit paid listings. Estate Engine includes powerful filtering and map integration, making it easy to run a fully functional listing platform.
10. WPCasa Elviria – Best for Seamless WPCasa Integration

Elviria is built on WPCasa, a framework designed specifically for realtors selling real homes and properties. It’s an elegant WordPress theme with powerful real estate features built in.
My Experience
Elviria’s biggest strength is how smoothly it works with WPCasa.
When I set it up on my test site, the integration felt built-in rather than “compatible.” All the real estate tools from WPCasa, like featured property widgets, latest listings, and custom listing fields, were immediately available and styled to match the theme.
Elviria also gives you multiple homepage layouts, so you can choose whether you want something more traditional with a hero header or a layout that highlights your listings.
Adjusting colors and branding was simple, and the typography looked clean out of the box, so I didn’t have to fix design issues. In addition, everything is fully responsive and retina-ready as well.
✅ What I like about Elviria:
- Offers multiple homepage layouts with unlimited color options
- Comes with real estate–focused features like listing widgets, sliders, and carousels
- Elegant, modern design that fits well with property-focused brands
- Fully responsive and retina-ready, so your site looks sharp on all devices
🤔 What I don’t like about Elviria:
- Strongly tied to the WPCasa framework, so you need to be comfortable working within that system
- Fewer starter templates compared to multipurpose themes
⭐ Why I recommend Elviria: I found that Elviria is a great fit if you want a clean, professional theme built directly for real estate needs. With built-in listing tools, flexible layouts, and strong mobile responsiveness, it lets you create a polished property site without extra plugins.

As user of WpCasa regretably I shall recommend to look for another company. All themes and plugins have issues, less to say about customer support. I have beeign looking for suport for months. The amount of money I invested with them was high (both, themes, pluggins and custom developments). It seems to be a sinlge person company, so that better look for an established company, even if it is worth a few more dollars.
Peter Malone
I am looking for a commercial real estate theme that is not IDX driven. I would need to enter commercial listings independent of a MLS feed.
Shari Posey
Can you recommend for a Realtor-focused theme not a property-search theme? All of the sites in this post mimic Zillow, Redfin and Realtor.com. I am looking for a theme that allows me to explain my expertise and how I’m different, and feature my own listings prominently. I want the IDX function to be a component but not the main focus. I haven’t been able to find a theme that’s not IDX focused.
Katy
Shari,
Did you ever find anything as you described? I’m looking for the exact same thing.
Thank you!
Michael
Any luck finding that theme?
Chris Hubbard
I’m a realtor and am looking to purchase a new website template. What is the difference between IDX supported and IDX-MLS supported??? Thanks for any info!
Mark Moineau
I don’t believe there is a difference. An IDX solution will contain listings from the MLS. Once you pick your theme, you will need to choose an IDX provider. The IDX provider can assist you in getting approval from your Local MLS to add IDX listings to your site. Some IDX solutions are easier to add than others. Be sure to compare the features and steps to integrate since not all IDX solutions are the same.
Francisco Espinoza
Hi guys, I know this is not the post to comment this, but, is there a way of implement ‘related posts’ on AMP using just the base plugin?. I mean, the developers explained here but I don’t get how to get it.
Ahmad Awais
I think this list could have used RealHomes or RealPlaces themes as well. Just saying.
